In August, we are reading Beneath the Scarlet Sky by Mark Sullivan. After his home is destroyed by an Allied bomb, Pino, an Italian teenager, eventually winds up as the driver for Nazi General Hans Leyers, Hitler's right-hand man in Italy. Based on a true story, follow Pino as he tries to help combat the Nazis while working directly for them.
Copies are available at our main desk. We will meet at Shelter House #5 at Infirmary Mound Park unless the weather is uncooperative. We will move to the library if that is the case.
